That said, I know my posting skills have left a lot to be desired. Definitely my bad. SO! I have returned with a handful of yummy recipes that will hopefully leave you drooling for more.
First up: a simple, EASY from scratch recipe for garlic knots! Whenever I go to a pizza parlor, the garlic knots are a huge weakness for me. Not that I get them often, but the soft, doughy, buttery garlicy-ness of the knots is always a home run. Most of the time, in fact, I refrain because I know I'll easily scarf down a dozen at a time. Bread is my vice in the kitchen, hands down.
I was sifting through garlic knots recipes online and most had a whole lot of resting involved. I normally am more than happy to indulge, but that day I was looking for something just as rewarding but less time consuming. I'm thrilled to report I found an ideal recipe for garlic knots! Not only that, but for pizza dough, too!
Everything went smoothly, and the butter/oil topping was just lovely. It was very difficult waiting for these babies to be ready.
These are definitely best straight out of the oven, but we didn't all of them in one night. We had the rest for leftovers the next night after sealing them (unbuttered) in an airtight container and heated in the oven at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes before we were going to eat. They were great!

- Garlic spread:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 Tablespoon garlic powder (I minced two cloves)
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive oil
1. Mix warm water, sugar and yeast together. Let that sit for 5 minutes.
2. Add flour and salt to the water, sugar, and yeast. Mix this until smooth and let it raise for 10 minutes. I used my kitchenaid mixer with the dough hook; super easy and fast!

3. On a floured surface, roll your dough out about 1/2 inch thick. I cut the dough in half and then in strips (about 8-10 inches) for the garlic knots.
4. Roll the strips in your hands to look like ropes and then tie in knots.
5. Place the knots on a greased baking sheet and allow them to rise for another 10 minutes.
6. Bake at 400 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.
7. While they are baking melt the butter and mix with garlic, parsley, and a drizzle of olive oil. As soon as the garlic knots come out of the oven, brush the tops with the butter garlic mixture.
